Syracuse University offers two acclaimed art history graduate programs, which prepare students for careers in museums, libraries, arts administration, academia, galleries, and other arts-related professions. Our graduates have gone on to

pursue doctoral degrees at prestigious universities and to work at internationally renowned museums.

The Main Campus program provides a comprehensive overview of art history that also allows students to pursue specialized research interests. The Florence program is dedicated to the history of Italian Renaissance and includes two

semesters of coursework in Florence, Italy. Both programs emphasize the development of research and critical thinking skills, along with written and oral communication.
